To install Lunaserv, make sure you have the following dependencies installed:
If you intend to use the night or illumination layer types, you will also need to install the naif-spice gem.
With the dependencies installed, compile and install map_utils which is included in the Lunaserv source package. The Lunaserv Rack app can be run in any of the various ways that Rack apps can be run. We recommend using Passenger. Passenger can be used along with Apache, Nginx, or used as a standalone service.
Configure the lunaserv.yml file. The paths to the layer and srs directories are the most important to get started.
This has been tested on Ubuntu Linux, CentOS Linux, and OS X Snow Leopard & Lion; it will likely work on other platforms, but we haven't tested it.
